Default Checking Timing Chain Tensioners

Has anyone tried using an endscope threaded through the PCV opening in the right valve cover to determine whether the secondary timing chain tensioners had been changed? Wondering if it would work.

Remove the cam covers to check the secondary timing chain tensioners. There are baffles within the cover that prevent anything going into the cam cover through the breather opening.
