Default Chrome Bumper mouldings (Blades)

Anyone have experiance with the aftermarket ones on ebay? I need a Right Front. Bought a used one off ebay but the guy sent me a left rear. Refunded & told me to keep it so no harm.

So the aftermarket ones are about half of OE but I don't want to buy something that doesn't fit either. I have lots of experiance with this stuff and know it can be hit or miss. Some parts are good and some not.

Hey Jim,
No personal experience, but I have a friend who bought some from Autopartswarehouse for an 01. He's particular about appearance and is happy with them.

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...gs+Best+Seller

the claim is "built to OE standards" and has 1 yr. unlimited mi. warranty.

Thanks. I guess I'll give it a shot. I've seen em on ebay for 50-55 bucks. I'm sure they are the same made in Taiwan deals.

It so happens I need the drivers side rear. Garage door clipped it off and cracked it. Any chance you still have it?

Yeah I still have it. But I don't think it's even for an S Type. It's pointed at both ends. An S type would be cutoff square for the side marker. Who knows what it fits?? Thanks for the interest.

I ordered one of the aftermarket ones off ebay. Got a message that the sale is cancelled cause they are out of stock. I will get a refund in a few days??? I've got some good deals of ebay for other car parts but so far my Jag experiance hasn't been great. Tommorow I will be ordering the moulding from a dealer along with the IMT O-Rings.

That's too bad about the blades, and the problems you are having getting the parts. I have had numerous cars and a few motorcycles over the years and they all have their problems. Had a TR6, Fiat Syper 2000, a number of Fords, a Chrysler, Yamaha twin, Honda V-twin and others. I now have 2 Explorers, an Aerostar, a 92 500SL, a 03 S-Type 4.2 and an 05 HD Road King Classic. I can't imagine how much time I have spent over the years repairing vehicles. I once rebuilt my girlfriends 73 MGB engine in an unheated shed in the middle of winter. It was about -5 to -30 F. She was worth it though. So was the girlfriend. No matter how many things have gone wrong with these vehicles, my enjoyment from them has far exceeded the headaches. The Jag is just another kog in the wheel and it just has different quirks. It is a fine car to drive though. Best of luck.

I needed a rear driverws blade and there was not an aftermarket bto be found for the last 3 weeks. Every other corner but no left rear. I got used from coventry for 75.00 perfect shape. I think Lag Bits has one for same price Rear left.
