clearing codes
im still pretty new at this but am having issues with cylinder 6 misfire code. I just checked wires to injectors and found 6 was not on correctly. I reattached wire and drove the car. the rumbling stopped and the idle is very smooth. I cleaned the throttle body and have checked for leaks using spray while engine was cool before I started my work. so..should I clear codes or pull out injector and swap it to another bank? also how the heck do I relieve the fuel pressure before working? should I let car run for few days and see if light goes off?
oh did I mention this is my wifes car?

Up to you.
If it's fixed the MIL will be turned off after 3 warm ups. The code will stay harmlessly stored for a while (won't affect smog etc inspections).
If you clear the codes you also clear all the OBD monitors and if you're unlucky they might fail to set at which point you would fail smog etc tests and you might also struggle to find what was wrong. Not very likely but can happen.
I'd not clear them.
Instead I'd see if the MIL went off as expected.
I'd also check the fuel trims since they can provide an early warning.
BTW you've posted in the wrong forum. Maybe a mod will move it to the S-Type one.
Lastly - with a 4.0 have you changed the timing chain tensioners to the metal-bodied kind? You're on borrowed time if not...
