Default climate control issue with a twist

ok guys any help would be appreciated. i have a 2005 s-type with 28000 miles, i set the climate contol to low and the 2 drivers side vents are cold the 2 passenger vents are hot. i replace the dccv(jag part) and put the control panel from my friends 05 s-type still same problem. ive been doing searches for a week and it seems i may have a interior sensor bad. can anyone tell me where the one that controls the passengers side is located, i know one is above the key(looks like a pain to change). has anyone had a positive result changing either of these sensors. the car does not have navagation. thanks guys.

The workshop manual (ebay $8) likely has the data or alldatadiy or jag's TOPIx.

In the thread below there is a pic that shows the drivers side one... perhaps the passenger side one looks the same (I really don't know). When I was looking for this info a while back I didn't come across it either. Good luck!

That was my picture. The long end of the sensor sticks out into the airflow inside the evaporator. The two small tabs or arrow shaped pieces on the side snap into the evaporator housing. I have had the drivers side out and it is visible looking under the dash and above the gas pedal towards the center of the car. The passenger side should be the same but you have to remove a few things to see up in there. You will only see the head which is square white plastic and it will have a electrical plug on it. So it may be a little hard to identify on your back under the dash. I use a LED flash light which is great for seeing anywhere!!
Here is the picture again.
