Hi! I also had a P1572 code read today at the shop, on a regular code check while doing others jobs. What "Brake pedal switch circuit malfunction" stands for exactly?, I see nothing wrong with my brake lights nor the ability of the car to stop. Where is the switch located? Is it just a DIY change job or something more complicated?
Finally, is this the switch we are talking about? http://www.autopartsworld.com/cart.asp
I'm sorry formakingso many questions in just one post, but I'm lost in this matter. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your answers, I gotta honestlytell you that I am not mechanical oriented at all, sorry. So, the malfunction could be affecting a series of things, right? Do you thinkthat changing theswitch will solve things out?, and again, is changing it a DIY job or something more serious?, where is theswitch located? Thanks again!

Both different. One activates a few ms before other. If intermittent problem, hard to check. Just replace both.
Easiest way is to have car running and press brake pedal, do not disconnect electrical connector. Turn 1/4 turn ccw and pull them out. Shut car off, disconnect electrical connectors. Plug new ones in then start car. Reinstall and enjoy. Get code cleared.
