Default Code reader; Will a Elm327 V2 work on a 05 S-type V6?

Under recommendations from a friend (non jag owner), I am considering buying a diagnostic code OBD reader for my 05 S-type with the Torque Pro android software? Will this work with my car and more importantly, will it display fuel pressure? If now, anyone have a Bluetooth (android phone) option?

Unlikely, there is no fuel pressure sensor in the system. There is a schraeder valve in the fuel rail and the normal procedure is to remove the valve and install a pressure gauge and fittings designed for gasoline.

There is a fuel temperature sensor in the fuel rail.

So what would you call the IP sensor / what do you think it does? Why does JTIS refer to the fuel pressure sensor a lot?

Please excuse my confusion, there is the Fuel Pressure Regulator with an integral pressure transducer(FPR in my JTIS). However my JTIS calls for using a fuel pressure gauge when testing fuel pressure in the fuel rail. I suppose if the transducer is defective then using an electronic diagnostic tool may not reliably identify the defect.

I have no idea what an IP sensor is or what it does

You can see fuel pressure is required by law (since MY 1996 but many cars did it before then). If you have a tool that won't read it then the tool or vehicle is defective.

You've a good chance - they've had 20 years to get it right! (Arguably nearly 30 since it goes back to about 1986.)

Attached are a copies of the Jaguar Diagnostic Procedure and Pinpoint Test E for checking fuel pressure on a 2004 and up Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V-6 gasoline engine.

If you wish to test your fuel pressure using an OBD II reader it is not my business.
