Yes, unfortunately this thread has not been particularly productive and no compiled cross-listing has been able to be generated.

While there clearly are some (many?) parts in common between S-Type/Lincoln LS/T-Bird no one has been able to produce a recognized matching. FOMOC/Jaguar have been no help and we've only been able to accidentally identify common parts.

Seems that, unless someone has already stumbled onto a match and listed it here, we're pretty much on our own.

But, please, every time we discover one, can we post it here with accompanying descriptions?

below obviously only the no#s are different not the part .

and also the Genuine Intermotor
standard part no# FPS17
is the only aftermarket equivalent to all the above part no#s

thanks hope this helps some one .

Hey Datsports -
there appears to be a discrepancy in your Ford OEM part number (specifically, the 4th character)...
Is it 3R3Z9F972AA - listed in post 103,
or 3R3E9F972AA in post 102?

Or have I misread the post - always a possibility

Not trying to embarrass, just wanting to be clear on the number.
Thanks, Steve

hay steve . good spotting . but yes the post is correct .
3R3B and 3R3Z both exist and both work .
3r3b is cameos old original 04 xjr part .
and 3r3z is a current ford f100 and ford focus part still avail able

my factory fitted part no# is not even on the list so ill post it now

03 STR PART NO#
XW4F 9F972 BB
So it seems the first 4 digits and the last two letters mean nothing as far as compatibility go any way . and even then the 5 middle digits can vary as well .
the key thing is all the parts that match visually have the same ohms values during equivalent boost/vacume throughout the range of identical sensors . part no# aside.

This is not the best thread to ask for answers for mechanical issues .

but i guess the answer is relevant here

ONLY IF the supercharged (STR/XJR X350) and the N/A 4.2v8 shares
the same primary fuel pump ---SOME ONE PLEASE CONFIRM .

the STR has two genuine PIERBURG pumps made primarily for bmw's
the bottom link is the same pump that the S type R and x350 XJR come from the factory with ! but i don't know about the N/A v8.
also you have to reuse the old plastic casing from your jaguar .
but this way is one quarter of the price of the complete unit .

confirmed here to fit STR/XJR via/℅ LAGONIA and CAMBO in this link

Almost sure they're wrong for your car.

Yes, not for my car, they are the two pin flavour. Thanks for the reply.

Rock Auto had Airtex/Wells brand and they were VIN specific.

Thanks,

For whatever reason, it looks like the x350/358 section doesn't have one of these threads, though it could be one of the best resources on this site.

However, my understanding is that the steering/suspension is the same between the S Type, XJs and Lincoln LS.

I found this guy on Ebay

(forgive the ugly link)

HEAVY DUTY LINCOLN LS FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARMS & KNUCKLES SUSPENSION KIT 10PC | eBay

(if that link ever dies, future people, here's what it contained, for $278.99
2 - Upper Left and Right Control Arms with Ball Joints
2 - Lower Left and Right Steering Knuckles with 14MM Version Only
2 - Outer Left and Right Tie Rod Ends
2 - Front Left and Right Sway Bar Links (aka Stablizer Links)
2 - Sway Bar Link Bushings (aka Stablizer Link Bushings)
2 - Lower Left and Right 14MM Ball Joints (Pre-Greased + Anti-Rust Coating are already installed in knuckles)

I've already used the upper control arms from a Lincoln LS, fit fine, but I now have a problem with one of the uprights (knuckles) where the tie rod end has managed to hog out the hole a bit and now it wobbles, so that's bad.

Anyway, if the suspensions are the same, or close enough, this should work right?

I have a feeling I'll be the guinea pig on this one, but I'll report back if I pull the trigger.

If anyone has any feedback (especially: NO IT WON'T FIT!) please let me know!

Thanks,
Oilstain

They may well be wrong for most S-Types as the suspension was redesigned in 2002.

Be very careful with that listing. The ball joints were upgraded from 14mm to 16mm pretty early in the LS/S type production. So they don't fit many cars.

Would be more useful if he carried the 16mm versions.

Here is a listing for a used hub on eBay:

JAGUAR S TYPE 2000 2001 2002 LEFT REAR SPINDLE WHEEL HUB BEARING | eBay

Of course, you don't know the condition of the currently installed bearing. The bearing can be pressed out and a new one fitted.

Thank you NBCat, my quest is in preparation for a rear wheel bearing swap in the near future and having found the cost difference between the one or two LS to S-Type parts in the past I thought I'd explore a cross fit.

Your input is much appreciated!

Default Sport Model differences 17" wheels and larger rotors

Take care,

Goerge
Did LIncoln make an LS with 17" wheels? The Sport model uses different (larger) rotors.

Also, are the calipers different?

Yes almost all the V-8 LS's came with 17" wheels.

Default Injector confirmation

Anyone know about the injectors on the 3.0 for an ‘03? I am replacing the lower intake with one from an LS and it’s supposedly going to have the injectors and rail still installed so I can just bolt it on and plug in the fuel lines and regulator connector. If no reply by the time it arrives, I will do a check to reference part numbers and see if things run well but always have the option of reconnecting my fuel rail and injectors if there is an issue. Thought it would benefit to ask first though as it could be more helpful information since the Jaguar injectors I’ve seen are pricier than the LS parts but don’t know yet for sure they are the same.
