Constant 12v source in engine compartment

RE: Constant 12v source in engine compartment
That's not a bad idea. I thought that I would need to put a relay or 2 in for HID kit issues and it turns out that the kit I got originally from eBay (bad idea) was not up to par. Replace the kit entirely and no more problems so I don't need to go through all that with adding relays and all.

I thought I had asked what it was for? (confused) Who knows what happened to my question? I asked if it was for under the hood or under the bonnet, because in the trunk you could simply use the fuse for the turn signal and if it's under the hood just use the starter fuse!

I was going to put relays in for my HIDs to give it a constant 12v. This will alleviate any flickering/other operational problems when the car is off and the headlights are set to "auto off".
If I tapped into a fused link that would open the door for other operational problems because (I'm figuring) with the draw of the headlights and the component that is associated to the fuse that I tapped into would possibly overload the fuse and blow it.
Any who, I had changed the kit out and don't need to worry about that for now <knocks on wood>.

Where did you hook up your relays to? and where did you ground them?
Thanks,
