control arm bushing spacing
Looking for info on how to space the lower outer control arm hydrabushing.
I have replaced all bushings on lower controls arm everything is fine for 100 or 200 kms then the squeaking noise returns and bad handling .When I inspect the bushings the outer lower bushing has moved or damaged.
The replacement bushings I'm using are 54mm but the stock one that I took out is 59mm how do I deal with this? One person has told me use a 1mm washer on each side how can that be when there is a 5mm diff..

Hey, thanks Leaping Cat. I picked up some steel washers 1/2" x 2.5mm today and my new bushings came in too. I'm getting pretty fast at replacing these bushings this will be the fourth time .do you think I should use stainless steel washers??
