Do these light up on usa spec cars, cos in uk they are just reflectors

I believe they do indeed light up when the headlights are turned on. My wife is out and about in our S-Type right now, otherwise I would go out and check it for you. Perhaps someone else whose S-Type is home right now will chime in and confirm....

 

been searching all over the net, cant find an answer but looking at a few videos of usa spec cars they do appear to be illuminated.

I want to fit them to my car !!!!!!!!!

the front left "corner light" isn't working but the other 3 are,

Now i just have to check if mine has the wireing in place or not

They do indeed light up.

Amber at the front and red at the back.

Anyone know what would be involved in replacing the uk corner reflectors with us style lights.

It's too dark and cold to go outside and start fiddling

 

Would it be allowed?

 

they would have to be all amber as red lights have to facing rearwards by law.

I belive some volvos have corner lights in the uk

Yes they do light up. I had to replace one on the rear about 2 weeks ago. Not only was the bulb burnt out but the socket was fried. It was about $10 (plus $5 for a bulb) for a replacement from Ford. It's not in their system for our cars, but the mechanic just happened to recognize the part I showed him.

 

does anyone know if the UK cars have the wires in place for the corner lights
