Could REALLY use any help right now!!
Am in the garage and stuck....all i am trying to do is put a new sc belt on and I cant figure out how to move the tensioner.....the bolt is 13 mm and is almost impossible to get any type of wench/socket on, and then to have any leverage, it will not move, even with a 2 ft bar attached to the handle of a 1.4 drive socket(all i could fit)
I cant believe i need to put this thing back together with no progress....its never never happend to me before ever on a car project... I cant accept the failure. Its a friggin belt for gods sake....elementary stuff!!
Am i missing something, doing it wrong or is my tensioner actually siezed??
Many thanks for any insight

Sorry this is the next morning...Then again it would be too late anyway...
I had the same problem working on the Grand Caravan... Zero room to move the tensioner.
I went to Sears and picked up a belt tensioner tool..Basically a bar with different hex adapters and such...That thing works great...
This is it.

Just had a look at the JTIS and the SC belt tensioner is almost identical to the tensioner on the 3.0.
I've done this myself and it's very easy if you can get access. There is no need at all to remove the bolt. There should be a 1/2" sq hole in the tensioner arm, it's just a matter of putting a 1/2" drive in there and rotating the arm until you release the tension on the belt then you can remove it.

Only been 3 days, it may take longer to get to it and post the results. Now, if it were 3 months, I'd understand a bit of disappointment. I'd wait a bit longer and lets see how the OP fairs.
