Could someone please describe the window washer system?
Still doing inventory on my new (used) S-Type...
Opened the washer fluid container today and noticed it was empty, so I filled it. Hit the fluid button, nothing. Not only did I get no fluid, I can't hear a washer fluid pump trying to pump anything out, either.
I live very nearby to where I bought the washer fluid, but by the time I got home, the container was empty again. I'm thinking it's got a leaky reservoir.
But assuming those two little fluid nozzle-looking things on the hood are indeed fluid sprayers, I can't tell whether mine are actually hooked up. I didn't take down the underhood heat shield to confirm, but I can't see any water lines running up the hood supports, either.
I also don't have an owner's manual for the car, so I don't know my fuse box locations yet in order to check for a blown fuse. So...
1) Where is the washer pump fused?
2) Should there be visible water lines running up the hood supports?
3) If the fluid reservoir is damaged, how difficult is that to replace?
Thanks,
Jess
