Default Cracked dash panel

Hi,
I just noticed that the plastic panel that runs along the inside of the windshield with the defrosters and headlight sensor in it is cracked on both sides of the headlight sensor from the winshield to the dashboard. Has anyone had this happen? I'm just wondering if I can get a new one and what is involved in replacing it or any suggestions on repair.
Thanks!

I don't know where you can get a cheap replacement, but it is a common problem. I actually have mine broken, but just ignore it.

Mine is broken on one side of the sensor and cracked on the other. I am thinking of just putting something over the cracked area to cover it up. It reflects in the windshield and drives me nuts. I'm sure I'll forget about it after awhile.
Thanks for the response and confirming that it's not just mine!

The part is known as the demister grille. I laid carbon fibre over my 03 was a ton of work but it won't crack again lol

This is common on most s-types. If you do a search on the panel someone posted a link to purchase one new for $250 which is the cheapest I've found. I think with mine I'll just repair it with some light bond or hot glue and repaint the whole panel.

You have to remove both A-pillars to remove the demister panel.
