It seems in all the forums about Jaguar and in my personal experience (2001 s-type 4.0) everytime I take the care to the dealer to get some work done it comes back with another problem which I notice almost immediately. I have tried 2 different dealers in my area. Are these guys trained to swap in bad parts? Are they corrupt?

I don't know where you're from, but I recently bought my previously owned S-Type from San Jose British Motors. The sale was painless and a brief experience with the service department was positive as well. My sales guy was Darren James and Dave and Dan in the service department were also great.

Be careful what threads you post to.... This one was dead in 2006. You'll also notice that the original poster is no longer valid. That said, I'm glad you are happy with your dealer..I am as well...Just not happy with the body shop they contract...

Every dealership is different but i cant imagine any swapping in faulty parts. Most shops are hoping to generate business by doing quality work, not by screwing customers.

Thanks to Josworth for looking and noticing that the thread was posted in sept 2006 AND as he says, the member ( for some reason or other?? ) is no longer part of this forum.
Enough said I think.
