Default determining value of my 03 Stype 3.0

Looking at some sites , I see numbers all over the place. CAn I get some
advice on true market value on a lt blue 03 Stype 3.0, no sunroof, with
100,000 miles, very clean. no leaks. KBB shows $6200... is that all ?
thanks,

Definitely a subjective question... There are alot of ranges out there due to condition, location and options. When trying to price your cat it really comes down to what a willing buyer will buy for and what a willing seller will sell for.

I would guess though that on an 2003 S Type 3.0 given the options you have listed at just over 100K on the clock, you are probably in teh ballpark at $6200. I know its frustrating but with the new models out and ours now being almost "dated" it has had a negative impact on resale... Eg my 03 STR has just over 140K on the clok fully loaded with NAV custom wheels performance mods and lengthy service and regular maintainence history and my value is only about $9500 on the open market at best...

I wouldnt even consider selling her at twice that price, I am the original owner and plan to keep her untill the wheels fall off!

Good Luck with whatever you are looking to do with your cat, but I would say polish her up and enjoy her as much and as often as you can!

Agreed. Unfortunately, $6,200 is probably a fair value, perhaps even a bit on the high side. All of these so-called luxury sedans depreciate massively in the first three or four years regardless of make and model. After that, depreciation continues but not quite as steeply. After nearly ten years in your case, there's just not much value left. That's why it makes sense to keep them maintained and perfectly functional yourself. The true value comes when you're able to drive these things for many years and then either sell them or donate them to charity just before they enter the dreaded "money pit" phase....

I don't know about there but here it would be the wrong time of year to get a decent price. April or later would be better.

Results of a search I have saved on Autotrader.com; 2003 S-type 3.0L's within 500 mi of Decatur, TX:
13 listings:
Highest Price:$9,995
Lowest Price:$4,998
Average Price:$8,452

Most are just shy of 100k mi.

Interesting, Don't think I've ever seen one without a sunroof.

It's getting about time to drop ins. coverage to Liability-Only....

The longer you wait, the more it depreciates. I would list it around $7k assuming the title is clean; you can always lower your price when negotiations start, but you can't raise it.

hey thanks,, mine has been a money pit. The list is unreal. Now i have the headliner
has dropped. Talking to Jag dealer , this is common, due to age. Does your use any
oil between changes.? I go about 4500 mi, and use at least a quart. On the other hand ive replaced about everything. Have had no engine or transmission issues..

Have you checked the valve / cam covers? Mine was using about a quart per month and I couldnt figure it out... Turns out it was just leaky valve covers replaced both drivers and passengers side gaskets and plug well seals and havent had any oil consumption since!
