Default Dff oil change

Just for general info: anyone who thinks that you don't need to change the oil in the rear diff should have seen what came out!!!

Sorry didn't take any pics but take it from me it was as black and gungy as a black gungy thing on Gunge day.

There is no drain plug so I used a piece of clear plastic pipe in the level fill/hole and sucked (carefully!!!) to create a syphon then let it run for about 15mins and got out approx 1.2ltrs.

I re-filled with Castrol Syntrax EP75w-140 which I bought off the next for approx 30€ for 2ltrs, delivered.

Result? Immediately quieter diff and get quieter the more I use the car. She was never VERY noisy, but is better now.

Dave
