As stated by our esteemed moderator above, ELM327 is a good basic code reader, and is highly recommended by many members of the forum, including me. It will be your best friend when troubleshooting. It's inexpensive, comes in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi versions, and is made by a multitude of manufacturers. You need to research which is best for you and your needs. Read the customer satisfaction comments before buying one online, as some seem to be rated better than others.
