Hey all! Question on the fog lights. I have 2000 stype 4.0 and I have had led fog light bulbs in my housings and they can even be seen. There good led bulbs too there gtr lighting not the cheap amazon things. I could not even see them on the road there's literally no diffrence with them on to with them off. I then put halogens in and even got some brighter ones with still no diffrence. Every thing is installed correctly and I'm confused 😕 I did try a set of 35 watt hid bulbs i had laying around and boy they showed the light but they get too hot for our plastic housings and I didn't want to damage them. The outside lens is very clear as well. Anyone have this issue or know what it could be??
Thanks all

I've never been a big fan of LED lights, but that's just my over-inflated opinion. Have you tried OEM spec bulbs? Even though the bulbs you've tried may physically fit in the housing, they may not focus properly with the reflector.
The OEM bulb is XR 812419:

Per NAPA's website, that crosses over to an H3 bulb. Several variations available:

FWIW, the fog lamps on my '02 aren't exactly barn-burners. They don't really throw a lot of light, but that may be part of the design so as not to blind you when facing a wall of fog.

Thanks for replying. The led bulbs I used are top notch very good bulbs. I do intact have a nice halogen h3 in there as we speak and you just can't see them like at all. Just very odd I've not seen a log light like it before. Maybe I'll find a set of housings and replace or even try before replacing.
