Is this a DIY job or best to have fitted?

That does help, alot actually.
Now in one pic, lay all the wiring out, side by side, and i'll give you a step by step on what connects to what.
Do those screens have DVD players behind the screen or no?
Btw Jeff, notice those are the actual S-Type headrests and not The oversized ones with the piping the north american market got...
I bet those dvd players are EU region coded though
Take care,
George

Ok here goes:
Basically here's what you have to do.
First you need to remove the front cigarette lighter plug.
Plug the cable that used to plug into the lighter into the connection circled in yellow.
Plug the connector circled in orange into the back of the lighter.
Now, connect the box with the big plug to the orange connector shown by the blue line.
Now let me explain the green connections cause the pics aren't clear enough to determine which is male and which is female.
Basically, you will have two males and two females here. I dont know if they are the same connector or not. BUT basically what you need to do is this.
Connect one side of the little u with the green circles and the clear connector to the splitter with the yellow and white circles using the green connection. (these should line up male / female). The other end of that u connects to the connector at the top circled in green.
Basically what this is doing is looping the positive through that filter.
Now you see that box, with the black wire with the metal spade connector sticking out of it. That metal spade connector has to be attached to any bolt behind the dash that shows continuity to chassis ground.
Lastly, the purple connections go to the screens.
I hope I explained this ok but any questions feel free to ask.
Take care,
George

Hi brought the rear connectivity kit for my S Type 2004, headrests with dvd screens & all the wirering looms, Instructions are not that clear where everything connects in too, has any body done this or is it best to have them fitted.

As you are based in the UK do you have any details regarding anyone who has stock off this kit as I have no luck at present

Glad to see it all worked out
Bens,
How big are those monitors? The USA version of the system gives us larger headrests and 7" monitors. Plus it plays media off of an SD card.

George

Nah that's about all you can do. Unless you were to swap it for a USA system.
I know Dan at Nalley wont ship across the pond, BUT other friendly people here might
Have a read here:

I bet you could have the system, reshipped via an intermediary for less then the 149 pounds you are into the UK system for
One thing I would have done in your car. I would have Vinyl Dyed that control panel cover etc to match your interior.

Go on my blog about my 500sl (link in my signature), and read about "making" blue interior parts.

Can you get it to where it's a lot more aesthetically pleasing to the eye and fades into the interior, absolutely.
Take painters tape and mask off the entire interior section of the control panel, also mask off the rear section and any holes / connection ports. You are probably going to have to spray it open and closed to get everything exposed covered.
SEM and VHT make the products you want to use.
Have a look at the procedure:

This is from a camaro / trans am website, but it documents the procedure well.

The USA control panel has the card reader built in. It only works with up to 2gb SD cards, non SDHC., there is no dvd in the USA system. I'm not 100% certain all the connections are the same. They do appear to be, but the monitors may not be setup to handle 3 inputs like our systems have.
Ours turn on on the card reader setting:
First press of source gives you video 1 (first set of A/V jacks)
Second press gives you video 2 (second set of A/V Jacks)
Etc.
I'd need a really detailed close up pic of the harness that plugs into the control panel and the wiring coming off of it to even being to try to see if it is interchangeable.
Take care,
George
