Tell us what year s-type, and chasis number you have. You can find your chasis number on any website. www.partstrain.com can provide you with that information.

Well you can tell by checking your clothes and funiture for cat hair, unless its hairless then maybe by looking for claw marks on hardwood floor and/orfuniture legs............ j/k
if itis in the USthen your S-type should, unless previous owner removed themor in my case ..... I gutted the mo fo's..... aaaahhhh bye bye check engine light, finally, well thats another story.
There should be one on each side of the engine block right after you exhaust manifold.

Well, I checked for hair - and it appears that I do have CATS!!! Two of them actually. Not quite sure how they affect my damping constants during steady state conrnering but they do add character.
As for the car, I still don't know... though it doesn't matter either way really - it handles better than any of my previous street-legal vehicles.

Snap a pic of the bisash and we will tell you... or when you turn on your car on a cold start, maybe in the morning after it cooled down all night, you will smell something funky, if you do then no cats, if no smell you got catylict converters on the bisash... It has no big difference on performance, ifyou don't have them or they aregutted maybe a 2-3 hp gain, it just help move the exhaust out faster and in return you engine breathes a lil better, think of it as loud loose burp and a silent more proper burp... the loud loose burp you are like ..."Heeeelllll Yeah that needed to be out".... The silent burp you are like "dam that burtp my chest, tastes funky too"... sorry wierd comparison but you get the idea bro.....
I don't even understand myself sometimes ... a Burp... ha who would have tought.

Well then how about this question do you have ane s-Type R, i believe that it is the only model with this...
The S-Type R comes a sport-tuned suspension with Computer Active Suspension Technology (CATS) that automatically switches between two shock absorber settings to benefit both ride and handling.
