Wow! Haven't performed that poorly since Calc IV 30 yrs ago when I got a "Bad" on test 3 from non-English-speaking Phillipe eh...Benifan` (If I'm lyin' I'm dyin' - No grade..just "Bad" scribbliged across the front)
Ok, looks like the prevalent literature makes claims that you experience anywhere from 10%-30% decrease in fuel-economy using E85 in your basic flex-car whereas depending on your area of the country and its relative proximity to the corn-belt, E85 prices are 10-30% below 87-octane gasoline. So if your vehicle and driving habits put you in the 10% class and you live in a 30% differential price area, yeah you can save some money..but if you have a 30% car and live in a 10% area...best opt for the petrol.
Now I know a little bit more about stuff I don't care about and would rather see just go away! Or at least, would rather see my tax-dollars taken from and spent on useful stuff (Like Marines) which would have the same practical effect.....
COAL is the alternative fuel of the future...and nobody eats it....
