Grettings!
Found this forum today and have browsed and search for answer to prob but couldn't find any. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
My wife's 2003 S-Type 3.0 dome lights, in fact all the interior lights, are staying on. Of course this ran the battery down, so I disconnected battery and charged it back up overnight. Reconnected battery, but inside lights are remaining on. So I pulled the bulbs to prevent the battery from going dead, but even still, after a few days the battery was dead again.
Battery is new, about 6 months old, voltage looks good, and when vehicles is running the battery shows that it is charging.
Thanks,
Brad

Yesterday when my wife and I were programming our Homelink transceiver in our S TypeI reached up and pressed the center dome light button. Later , after I had exited the car, my wife attemped to turn off the lightsby pressing the outermap light buttons. She exited the car andseveral minutes later told me that the interior lights would not turn off.
It took me a minute or so of playing around trying to figure out why the interior lights wouldn't turn off..when here I simply (still) had the center dome light buttom pushed in. I pressed it again and about 20 or seconds later..the lights turned off.
I hope for your sake it's something this simple. Good luck!

The fact that that overhead light panel observes the opposite logic from normal, that is you push the button in to turn it off, and the fact that the light takes a few seconds to turn off, could cause an owner to misunderstand what is happening here.
In such a situation, the Dealership is just salivating to replace the whole overhead panel and the wiring from there to the battery.
And charge you or the manufacturer for it, of course, depending on warranty status...

I have a 2002 Jaguar stype 3.0. My dome lights wont turn off. Front and back. I thought it was a timer or door switch but can't seem to find the switch. Can anyone help me understand how to fix it. I'm going to pull the bulbs out. But also having a problem getting them out. Please help. Thanks
