As donor car for engige swap questions
Hi
I am new to Jaguar so but not new to engne swaps . I get one classic ford without engine and seach for good V6 , then found that s-type cars are lot cheaper than ford engine . So I can get Stype 3.0 manual in running condition . My questions are : Can the engine work with stock ecu and harness or easier to put aftermarket ecu , if yes which modules I need . And other question is can I use the climate system as stand alone system and also what modules i need to get it running .
Thanks in advance

Classic FORD leaves a lot of room to maneuver; to some an unexploded Pinto might be a 'classic'...
That said, 3.0, V6 conversions are popular with some early Mazda Miata enthusiasts; I believe they tend to favor stand-alone engine management systems, You might want to begin you search there...

burned its gaskets.
but you're doing it on a different car so youll have to do some research and pick which engine accessories you will be using.
a standalone might give you easier and faster control. Less errors
There are lots of swaps done using this engine.

Sorry for replying twice
killerbee i see you're from
bulgaria, and since you aint got no engine size taxes, why dont you throw a v8 in there from an old ford or 2000 s type (4.0)?
Someone even did a lexus v8 swap. And that one runs perfect. Check your dm
if tou can fine a LS from a corvette that would be a dream, but i bet huge costs implied
