Doors lock then unlock by themselves

This could be because one of the micro switches in one of the door latches has failed. The car will think that one door is still open.
As the drivers door gets the most use it could well be that one! These fail because of the multipl inpacts when shutting the doors a few thousand times.
I am not sure, but I think a faulty trunk/booyt latch may also cause this same fault as well??

I have the same problem right now. Does your key work in the driver door lock? My lock cylinder is messed up and wont let me insert my key all the way. Therefore when I try to lock the doors they try to lock, then unlock. (I hadn't used my key in a long time and didn't know the cylinder was jammed.)

You are in luck. Long time member Rob did a write up in replacing the drivers front lock actuator.

There is a plastic gear inside the lock actuator that has failed. Scroll through this DIY to understand what happened. Avoid the mistake I made, purchase a new actuator and not a used one!
