Doors Locked after a few weeks of rest

First time post. Tried to take my 2006 S 3.0 out of the garage this morning (been resting in there a few weeks) however I was foiled. Tried unlocking with the remote as usual - nothing. Tried turning the key in drivers door lock - nothing. The red alarm-set light is flashing on the dash board as normal. Any suggestions? I am planning to get into the trunk and hopefully just need to charge the battery. Does this sound like the solution? Also will alarm go off and alienate me further from my pick up truck neighbors?

Sounds working (PATS flashing etc) except the key should open the driver's door.
The battery sounds good.
You will trigger the car alarm if you remove and refit the battery!
And will need to get into the car then put the key in the ignition to shut the alarm off.
So, you do not want to take the battery off!

Sounds like two issues going on.
1) Definitely figure out the problem with the key not being able to unlock the door or trunk, as that should work regardless of anything electrical. The lock cylinders may be seized from lack of use.
2) After 6 weeks, your battery may be severely run down. Not sure of the exact logic, but your car may have automatically shut off non-essential features (such as the key fob interface) to preserve the alarm system. And since the key doesn't seem to work, what can you do? Scroll down to post #3 in this thread, to see the +VE connection aft of the right front wheel:

Use that connection to hook up a battery charger overnight. Once the battery is back up to snuff, see if your key fob works again. And then take care of the issue with the keys.
If you don't drive the car very often, I'd highly suggest hooking up a battery tender. That same thread had good details on one method to do so.

Got home from work and can confirm manual door lock not working - possibly from under use so will be lubing it.
Got into trunk with key and as expected the alarm started. Went to passenger door - pressed fib button to unlock and doors unlocked and alarm reset.
believe it was all down to drained battery. Thanks for the help and not to buy a battery saver. Any advice on a good one as this car will be in a very cold garage over winter.
Thanks again
