Driver side window
So,
My Driver side window has been getting slower and slower. Its to the point where I feel bad for putting it up and try to not use it.
I tried using some grease in the tracks, but does anyone know of any good oil or lube to use to save the moter making the window glide up easier?
Mine actually will be going up and all the sudden go down( I think it is a saftey feature and the window thinks an arm is in the way(
Any good lube fixes??

Drivers window has the most wear & tear, because of ATM's,and drive-up windows.
Cleaning and using RainX on both sides of the window and gasket, helps to reduce the resistance.
$7k service in 7K miles driven!
What did, they do to your car?
These electric motors are nothing unusual to go bad, consider a used one from a Lincoln LS passenger side, because it's used less. And a new window regulator canbe bought on ebay.

He's an AngryJagowner , I hate Junior members getting taken from bad services.
The parts are cheap, it's just finding someone todo the job.
This door is like any other door, it's just getting a good technician and cheap parts.
This Thread isn't about AngryJagowner,php12volt,or myself, it's to help others with the same problems..
AngryJagowner, this is how to remove a door panel for a JAG.

its usually not the motor, but the rails. When the plastic fingers that slide up and down the rails break (there are 4 front and rear rail). The slides **** and then drag. They will break all the way, then the window Will drop. Just go get new rails and replace them before it breaks when your out on the town, or pouring down rain. You know how Murphy is.

Mine were doing the same thing (1976 XJ12). Changing the motor will do nothing for the problem (because it's not the motor). The window tracks will get gummy because of humidity, etc. Use either talcom powder (for a short fix but less messy) or powdered graphite (for a longer fix but messy as heck). For the long haul, the best thing to do (not the easiest nor the cheapest) is to change the rubber in the tracks themselves.

Well,
After using some serious grease I found out it really gets tacky quick and did nothing. So I cleaned out the tracks to best of ability with a clorox rag and a pencil. Pretty dirty stuff.
I have since put a nice amount of silicone on front and rear tracks. It has fixed the problem for now. If all I have to do is lube it up once a week, it would be the easiest fix yet. I just know if I take the door apart, I will or some tech will dammage lets say the door locks, or seat memory button. Everytime I get the car worked on, something else goes or another big problem shows its head( as the jag dealer says to me when they do something to the car)..
Thanks for everyones input.
