drivers seat wont move forward or back
hi can anyone recommend anywhere or anyone that can fix my seat, only one side works so when you move the switch the seat just twists a couple of mm, I have tried to look myself but I have 3 slipped discs so I cant do much that is also why I need my seat fixing it is too far away from peddles so is really uncomfortable, I have very limited funds so don't want to just take it to a garage to be ripped off can someone please help me, I live in Dudley west midlands thank you

Same problemo as Sue Pete's. Coin preventing driver's seat to move either way.
HI all, yes same problem. Driver's seat runner stuck on one side so twists when I turn the ignition key.
It's a real drag, but could be worse..it couldve been stuck far forward rather than far back.
But yes, it's still a real tester to have.
There is a wire connection I believe, that runs across from one runner to the next under the seat. Like a coat-hanger wire thickness. There is a chance that this has been rendered from it's function which is to release the slave runner-lock when the motor's activated.
A wire coathanger trimmed up and bent into hooks each end can be used as a replacement if necessary.
But still remaining favourite for the seat not moving backwards or forwards is due to a coin being jammed solid in between the runners.
Good luck with that one!
If I can fix it myself, I will share the method opted for on here.
Au revoir, à bientôt 🙂
