Drivers side low beam not lit
#21
BTW, I am having one hell of a time trying to identify which connector I actually replaced.
FC40 is listed as the headlight connector for the left HID but that connector is up on the top side of the front left fender and is mounted on the pass through hole between the left HID and the air box (pics to follow). That FC40 has 12 pins just like the connector I replaced except it seems to have different color wires than then one I replaced. FC40 is dark grey and connects to a black connector.
The reference designator for the corroded connector I replaced is unknown at this time and I cant find an easy way to identify it using the wire colors, or its location or by following the harness. The corroded connector had also had 12 pins but had Black connectors. This unknown connector is attached to a smaller cable that tees off the Front fascia harness that runs across the front bumpe. The smaller cable coming off the main bumper harness goes underneath the left HID light in front of the drivers side wheel well liner to the black corroded connector. the mating connector from there goes back up around to maybe the headlight connector FC40.
Anyone know what the connector designator is for the corroded connector? I want to find it on the schematic to find out what the two unused wires are for?
EDIT! I finally figured it out! I had some trouble finding the right page with the right colors going into the right kind of socket in the wiring diagram but I freaking finally found it!
DRUMROLL PLEASE ................
the corroded connector is for the FRONT PARKING AID SENSORS! Connector is the BF (front bumper harness) shown in figure 18.1 in the wiring diagrams! Whew that took a lot out of me
