Driving in snow

I dont know about handling. I do know that my 91 xjs has more rust than you can shake a stick at. Ford may have fixed some of those problems, but I wont drive my newer xj6 in the snow. I had it out a little in the winter and it handled good because of the weight. Also if you have a first gear lockout it helps with traction. My cars are not going to see the Michigan salt this winter.

I agree with the wash it sentiment, but I wont drive my S when there's actually snow on the ground. It still ends up covered in salt so it gets washed regularly.
Take care,

I think my S type 3.0 is pretty decent in the snow. The DSC is very aggressive, (too aggressive in nornal conditions, I think) but does a good job of keeping you out of harm's way.
The main thing is good tires. I'm running Conti UltraContacts DSWs, in the original size. They are excellent in the snow.

The 3.0 is great in snow as long as you have good tires, and decent snow driving skills..
The STR (and George's 3.0) will be worse, but is not related to power but more related to tire / wheel size... Unfortunately the STR brakes won't allow an STR driver to slap on a set of 17" wheels and tires for winter.
