Default Drooping headlights

Mine basically point at the ground, and it's making it difficult to see at night. Before anyone mentions Brutal's thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ype-faq-10745/

I've read over the whole thing and viewed Vance's video. Mine don't really have any play in them. When I start the car at night, I can see the lights auto level, moving up and down. Turning the vertical screw to try and tilt them doesn't seem to do anything though. (which I'm not entirely sure what it would do anyway if they "auto" level).

I'm open to suggestions.

Also, if anyone knows how I can keep my gas door closed! The stupid plastic latch doesn't seem to have any spring left in it to keep it in place.

Not sure if you have already but have you looked at the ride height sensors. They may be dirty or have a wiring fault.

Just a thought.

Where would those sensors be? What can I look for? Would those operate on a separate fuse or relay?

Should Be On The Passenger Side Rear Suspension..Reads "Hella" On It.. It's A Small Box About The Size Of A Pack Of Smokes, With A Servo Type Armature On It.

There is also one on the front suspension.

The headlight levelling module is supplied from ignition switched supply from F16 10A in the primary junction fuse box.
The ride height sensors drive into this module and are not separately fused.

Hope this helps.

If you search on here for drooping headlight fix you will find out how to fix it within 10 mins with a drill and 2 screws. I had it happen to me and looked on here. It is a common problem. But to put new HID headlights in is very expensive. I searched on here did just what they said and it has been fine ofr 3 years now.

I checked the F16 fuse, aside from it being a 15a, it was fine.

And it looks like I made a mistake, the lights do NOT auto-level when I start the car, they don't move at all.

May have lost their programming, in which case they stay low. Dealer only fix, if so
