Default Good non-dealer source for the DCCV?

As the prior post is a bit dated could anyone enlighten me as to the going rate in the U.S. for:[LIST][*]Present cost of a new DCCV; or,[LIST][*]Interchangeable unit from another make/model; or,[LIST][*]Usable unit from reputable recycle parts dealer.

As an alternative, what is a fair price for parts and labor for replacement of this unit by repair shop that specializes in British automobiles?

Paso may be noted for heat in the summer time (+45 C/115 F) but it is darn cold in the winter. My wife reminds me of that daily. Any suggestions will lead to an increase in my quality of life for which will be eternally grateful.

I am in CA. I just purchased one last month for our '05 STR from the local Ford dealer. $126.00
The Jaguar dealer quoteded me $383.00

Others posted up around $100-$122.00 from Rock Auto I believe.

Search climate control panel repair. A few of us have done them. Does your car have navigation?

Take care,

George

Purchase the DCCV new only. Do NOT get a used one. This part has proven to fail nearly 100% so you really want new. They are too cheap on Amazon to go used.

Absolutely do not buy a used dccv. It's a time bomb. Just get a new one. There is no point in doing all that work just to have the "new" one fail in short order.

Take care,

George
