EGR
I have an EGR code for the first time in the 15 years I have owned my 2006 S-Type/R. I had the fuel dampers replaced by mechanics who were supposed to know what they were doing and since then the EGR code has been constant. When I picked my Jag up from Richs Garage in Brick N.J., the MAP sensor was disconnected and a relay in the trunk was disconnected. A bracket which appears to keep the wire harness in place was broken. Is there a way to by pass the EGR on this year and if not what is the best way to replace it?

Forget the bypass idea?
I would fix the EGR. But you did not post any codes so we really can't help?
If your using a shop to fix this old of a car I think you need to accept things like that. I am surprised they would even look at that old of a car?
I find DIY is the ONLY way to own a used luxury car of any brand and especially a Jaguar.
