EGR Delete? Cant it be done?
I am facing a very expensive EGR rebuild as all the pipes and EGR is "hopelessly clogged solid with carbon" in my mechanic's words.
I am curious.... has anyone done a EGR deleted on these supercharged engines?
If anyone has any suggestions on dissolving solid blocked carbon, please share!
Thanks guys!

I’m not sure what year your car is .
post 05 you can delete.
But half the job is turning off the monitor with in your ECM tune .
very Specialised job. And fairly costly. But comes with other benefits.
(EG. remap)
pre 05 you can only bypass it .
due to there being no remapping availability for the early ECM.
so it has to have a functioning EGR valve. In this case.
and you have to be okay with the occasional engine light ,
under certain driving conditions.

First of all you can clean your EGR valve . And should .
as you need it to work properly to be able to by pass it .
you can use carb cleaner and a firm brush .
Word of warning. If your EGR valve is clogged,
So will your charge coolers and throttle body be filthy.
I recommend you clean all of that out to.
And while you’ve got those off,
You might as well do the coolant pipe under the supercharger.
generally all of this service work comes around at once.
Very sorry to point this out .
then you have the choice whether to bypass it or not as it will be working.
here is the link to where I got the instructions. Thanks Avos.
