Emergency Brake problem on 2004 STR
Hi everyone
Changed the front drivers side caliper that was leaking brake fluid.Checked the rear disc and emergency brake pads.I did put some brake quiet on the back of the pads, the pads themselves were fine.
I have noticed what sounds like some slight rubbing when I wind the drivers side window down while driving in town.I thought the caliper change would solve the problem but it didn't.I also noticed that there was a very slight ridge on the back passenger rotor where the bottom of the emergency pads touch the rotor.I had someone grease the cables while I stayed inside and activated the emergency brake. What my brother noticed is that sometimes the brake came on but didn't come off, while the drivers side worked flawlessly.it makes me wonder if the Emergency brake is sticking on or just binding sometimes.Emergency brake works fine when it is on.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.Fitz
