Default emergency brake question

Hi everyone,
O I had my gear shifter cam replaced, I was told to prevent from getting stuck again pull emergency brake on than shift to park,MY PROBLEM I LIFT THE 911 BRAKE N NOTHING DOESNT STAYUP....

I just needed to have the cable tightened. It's a quick fix (my mechanic did it for free). If not that, then I don't know what the problem would be. Check that out and update with what you find.

On my '01 we need to pull the lever quite high before the ratcheting mechanism engages and the emerg brake begins to hold. Perhaps you're not pulling it high enough before giving up?

But as mentioned above, sounds like both of us could use a cable adjustment.

ok so update, the brake when lifted shows on the screen so its not cables its the hand brake itself just not clicking to stay up, just falls down, help!!!!

Sounds like need to adjust or replace the cable.
