Lol well jagv8 I'm very good girl but I am polish so help is needed
Could you please help me.
I can give u a quickie rundown
I am about due for oil change I do have a leak and when I checked my oils empty practically now.
That being said for the first time with engine light and code p1383 it went a little over on the c/h temp thingy in my dash
Now my understanding.... Please tell me if I'm wrong.
I can engine flush and complete oil change and have a chance?

All above posts make sense.
I came up with 2 pages of results for "P1383" yesterday and this morning. I do not know why my link did not goto the result page, sorry. I did show you how to "search" though instead.

Mainly due to lack of oil change maintenance. Do this: purchase engine flush - run engine (from cold) at idle for about 20 to 25 mins, drain oil.
Put in conventional cheapest oil you can find (5w20 viscosity) and I mean cheap like auto big box branded oil like advance cause your gonna change it after 1,000 miles.
Here's the trick - sub 1qt of oil w/ Mercon 5 transmission fluid. Trans fluid is highly detergent and will penetrate and clean the small oil passages of the VVT solenoids.
It takes about at least a few hundred miles of normal driving.
The above method is proven.
Also there is a TSB for VVT's for the 3.0 engine that is remedied by reprogramming.

Please read up on the forum - lots of info and $80 for an engine flush? Again, I was trying to offer you a proven solution that has helped many fellow members in the past. Unfortunately, you threw $160++ at a problem that may not yield a suitable solution.
You need to get a reflash of the PCM via a dealer level dial agnostic machine if it was not done previously. jaguar can tell you if your vehicle has been serviced for the TSB.
