EPB Stuck On !! Anyone knowa fix???
Hiya
First post here after 2 months of S-type ownership- So please be kind:-)
My Diesel S-Type had a rear brake fault indicated on the dash , all worked well though, but I just had to fiddle to get rid of the error code.
After doing the usual searches, i disconnected the battery and relevant fuses, let it stand and reconnected. With the key in the ignition I had the predicted messages and pressed the brake five times than applied the EPB as instructed. Message Parking break is not engaged!!!
Well to my horror, the damn brakes where locked on!!! Well and trully locked couldn't bude the car an inch either forward or backwards...grrrr
Looked for the EPB module in the boot but couldn' find it - there is a post about reversing the motor by wiring direct to the motor
I had to arrange for a garage to collect and reset and a cost of 150UKP..:-(
Please, please does anyone know how to relaease the brake - Mine is fixed now but I'm sure it would be a useful sticky in the vent someone else has the same problem!!
Hope someone knows:-)
Best Regards
