Default ethanol killing my car

the wet gas in my area is bad for my car and the problems are continuing to get worse. is there a way for me to order a couple cans of dry gas because the only non ethanol pumps are on the other side of town and extremely inconvenient.

Dry gas is alcohol, which combines with water. But there again, so is gasohol.

What problems are you having and how do you know they are caused by gasohol?

Is this about the 1996 XJ? If so, you're asking in the wrong section!

And if not.... put the right car's detail in your profile PLEASE

No, not about the XJ6 sorry. The 2004 S-type is not a match with the cold weather. When I start the car it has an extremely shaky start up. It struggles to stay on and all the lights flicker. The rpm is bouncing up and down until it sits for about 20 minutes running in the morning. The smell of gas is so strong I can smell it inside. While I'm driving if I accelerate to fast the car sputters horribly and I have to let off the gas. It's also a lot louder than originally. The car has had previous fuel injection problems so I thought it might be something related with fuel. When it got too bad I took it to a mechanic and he said that water had probably gotten in my gas with a bad tank of ethanol. About every gas station in my area has converted to 10% ethanol gas.

That sounds so bad that his explanation is probably..... wrong. Can't you find a competent tech to do proper diagnosis?

It sounds so bad that I'd not want to even start it until I found proper help. (OK, maybe I could DIY but I'm not in FL.)
