Great news but you gotta install them before we know for sure. They all look the same.

Post back when you get the old one out and hopefully pictures of the install.

We ALL want this to happen! Just remember it’s been promised before.

Anybody know if these will fit too? New Lincoln LS 16mm Lower Ball Joints 2 02 06 OE Spec | eBay

The seller lists them as compatible with the S-Type as well as the LS

Are these balljoints hard to source in the UK too? I've had a quick look, just in case and keep finding pre facelift ones.

They ie the dealer, wants you to buy the whole arm....when in reality all you need is a ball joint!

I realise the whole arm is generally available, as with all manufacturers these days it seems, but wondered if the balljoint was hard to find in the UK as it seems to be in the US.

I'm not aware that I need one, but would like to know where I can source one, should I need to.

Hi,

I do have the lower control arm new on the left front side that I had got for my Jaguar S-Type '02. The part # XR851825. I think its the same for the 03 model as well. PM me if you're interested. I could ship it to you or you could pick it up if you're local to South FL

Thanks

What's the point if only you can get them??

Totally useless information. There was never any question that ball joints exist and can be pressed in. That's what the factory does.

No the Lincoln LS and the S Type changed with the 2003 Lincoln keeping the old suspension while Jaguar updated the S Type to a newer style front suspension.

So the Lincoln LS lower ball joints are only for the 2000-2002 S Type. And don't forget the running change from 14mm to 16mm either. Also note that EBay listing has the very common error of listing the 2003 S Type. That is wrong.

Default I can see that you did I not have your coffee

If you read my first post carefully you will NOTICE that I am offering to share 2 sets from the 4 I got....they were shipped from EU....I am not making any money on them just passing on to fellow jaguar owners!

Lastly not my fault there is no aftermarket support.....however I was able to score some!

When I was stationed in Germany I was part of a car club, thus made a lot of friends.....I posted my ball joint dilema to the club and someone was able to source them from the supplier. Sadly these are not freely available on the market!

So far the answer is no. I think the listing is in error because you can look at the 2002 S Type and they have the same part number listed for the lower ball joint and we know they are different.

I think all the parts places get confused because the Lincoln LS does use that 16mm ball joint up until the end in 2006 when production stopped.

We do have member Lt0302 that was able to find them but he has no part number and it looks like they are still NOT available for the 2003 and up S Types.

The 14mm .VS. 16mm is for the Gen I ball joints and was a running change sometime in the 2001 year. It goes by VIN so that must be checked to be sure.

We are still looking for the 2003 and up S-Type lower ball joint separately.
