I got a quick question on the exhaust on the 02 s type 4.0 i got under there and seen what i could work with i had a couple questions though. I was going to take the two resonators off and put in some borlas and then run pipe all the way out the back but i wasnt going to do it if its going to be real loud. im looking for a nice sound but not to loud any input appreciated...

 

keep the resonators if you dont want loud,i have 2.5" piping from the cats all the way back w/o resonators with magnaflow mufflers and its loud

 

v8 stype any chance you can post a clip of what that sounds like my resenators were cracked all the way around and i got them cut out and put pipes in place but now i feel the stock mufflers sound horrible. i was thinking about puttin some borlas or magnaflows but i never heard a s type with either and im nervous that i wont like the sound. does any1 kno if arden or the mina gallery sell just the mufflers instead of the whole system?and if any1 is able to post a clip of what there s type sounds like with an exhaust that would be great to.

what magnaflows did you get that is the sound i am looking for...when i said loud i meant real loud cause there is this guy that i believe is running glass packs or something on his lincoln ls and it sounds like ****.

 

thats not my car thats another members on here but they haven't been on,and i believe its flowmaster exhaust

Yea i wish i could find a soundclip with magnaflow....i bought a focus awhile back that a full magnaflow system on it and it sounded great....it didnt have that rice sound at all.

even though you had a misfire it still sounded great very throaty and deep sounds awesome

 

Those sound clips are from my car. I have 2 flowmaster 10 series race mufflers. They are single chamber and very small because of the space limitation. From the cats I have 2.5 piping (keeping the resonators, because it was so unbelievably loud without them, so I had them put back on) the piping continues all the way back to the mufflers and finally to the 4 inch angle cut chrome tips. There is no H or X pipe so each exhaust system is completely separated. It still sounds very loud, but only half as loud as it did when I had the resonators out. I love the sound I get and am very satisfied. The system was custom built can can easily be done by any shop, it ran me $490 total which I think is a bargain!

I have even had a officer pull me over just to tell me that he loved my exhaust, how cool is that!

Hey edra, got any pics of the exhaust itself...from underneath the car? It sounds really good. If not, next time its on a lift for a tire rotation or what-not, snap a pic or two.
