Default Field Services

Hello Again;
I thought I would change this question to a new thread. On the XK8 site, there was a fella that would run the vin, and give you a (.pdf) print out of all field services performed. It included the options on that particular vin. I've tried to get ahold of him through e-mail, but no luck. Anybody up to some suggestions??..

Thanks again for any replies and may you all enjoy a peacefull Memorial Day...and Remember.

A nice call to your local dealer should net you the same thing. They can pull all the service history on the car as long as it was performed at a Jaguar dealer. The report can also include factory build equipment (options). They normally do that for free..

Thank you JOsworth;
I'll try that. I finally decoded the Paint and Trim. Damned Good Lookin' car. So far I'm getting 24.8 mpg. alot better than my XK8, and much better than my truck. The only thing that confuses me... That car has everything but a nose hair clipper... but no fog lamps. The only thing I can figure, is that perhaps he was impatient, and took what was available...
Thanks JOsworth

Oil coolers. The 05+ has twin oil coolers where the fogs lights should be so they need the air flow. I dont miss them not like the fog lights are really gonna help, HID's are plenty for me.

Yup, what Vance said.. No fogs on the 05 and up... Funny thing is they have rear fogs so they have a "funny" switch... The fog button for the rears and none for the front, just a blank....

Also, 05 got a refreshed body... and was the only year of that refreshed body to get body colored trunk (boot) trim.... Ahhh the sweet smell of trivia in the morning...

Also dont forget the 05 is the only year with the new body style and the Brembos so with that and the non-chrome trunk trim the 05 is truly a one of a kind year.

On my STR the headrests move when you use the appropriate switch on the seat base.

LOL funny story about that. I used to have an A8 Audi and didn't know about the power headrest so I started yanking on it thinking it was jammed and ended up breaking it off of the track. So they ended up becoming manual headrest after that. That was the first thing I checked on the STR so I didn't make that mistake again.
