Oops I gave her the house key! Ha-Ha The problem is she's never liked driving and is a back seat driver except she seats in the front.

Hey PapasJag, I see you went for that 3.0 Jag you were looking at in July! Congratulations, and enjoy. It ain't no STR, but it looks quite beautiful, my favourite Jag colour.

Just got back from taking the Jag on some twisty country roads. It had been raining all day and halfway thru my run the rain came down in buckets. Decide to push the Jag at least a fast as a 70 yr old man should do and the car performed amazingly. Never felt I was driving on the edge, even doing 55 on a 35mph narrow road in a down pour. The car handled perfectly, felt solid and stable. The traction control was impeccable and always felt very secure. I driven a lot of fast cars/4WD & AWD and the Jag was the equal or better than all of them.

Thanks, yeah I couldn't find a STR in BRG w/low mileage. The 07 is in the right color, low mileage & in absolutely perfect condition. It's fast enough for an old guy like me and not as complicated/expensive to fix.

There's not another Jag/car like it in the area, very distinctive, turns heads & gets lots of compliments. I'm thinking of getting a T shirt with the words "Jaguar- Any other car is just a car."

Glad you got to realize your long-held dream! I, likewise, was Jagless for nearly 40 years, after selling my XK-150 FHC, but a couple weeks ago dove back in with an '06 XK8 coupe. I'm loving mine and hope yours gives you great joy!

Very nice - I'll have to add the XK8 to my wish list. You know what they say: "One Jag is never enough. Happy Motoring!

Glad your happy with it and welcome. You're lucky to find a low mile car, there aren't very many for sale. To buy a new or old Jaguar it takes a big wad of money and impeccable taste. To buy a used modern Jaguar it only requires impeccable taste. To me the S Type with the retro style is like the best of both worlds, well kind of.

Thanks! The Jag was on a dealers lot for three months. We flew out to AZ for Mom's birthday & I told my wife when I get back if the car's still there I'm going to by it. The car really is in show room condition.

The great things about Jags is that sooner or later they all become collectable classics. Not sure you can say the same about any other car.
