Why didn't you get them to paint the car a nice colour? Like silver or something?

She looks real nice. Glad that the repair has worked out well for you. So many times things go wrong.... WOW on the price!

Hope you get to feeling better yourself...

Oh, and white is the best color for an R (IMO)!

...damn why didn't I think of that?

Prolly cause I like it white as this STR is a sunny day driver and here in Canada's wine country it gets hot and dry from early spring to late fall. It starts and ends much like a light switch. Where I live we are on the Northern edge of the Sonoran desert. This vehicle has never seen a winter and rarely rain.

If I had this STR in a dark colour and blinged up I would draw the kind of attention I don't want. I like it just the way it is - somewhat under the radar. I am considering yanking all the R and S-Type badges off. I would pull the badge I had to put on the hood but for the fact it's concealing two wholes in the hood left from the Leaper removal.

I think that white is always the best color for ANY vehicle. Reflects heat, easy to care for, and is least subject to paint fade. For the last dozen years or so, all of our vehicles have been white except for our current S-Type. I like the look of quartz on this car and it does indeed hide dirt and dust well, but I wish it was white....

The badge is from a 2006 XKR Victory Edition. The part number is C2N3703.
