Well I just about burned up the Shop Vac getting the crap out of there. The stereo and all its related crap has been banished. Found quite a lot of broken safety glass so thats concerning and for sure I need to check the doors and windows etc to make sure they all match and I got the 3rd brake light put back into where its supposed to be. I think I'm at a stopping point for the day lol. Hopefully one of the 20 wrecking yards I contacted reaches back out to me for some of this stuff I have been searching the used market for. But My kids homecoming parade is tonight and the youngest has a Dentist appointment so I'll try and take a few pictures of things I hope someone can ID. Oh and I found a third fuse box. On the passenger side pillar. So maybe I haven't checked all the fuses. Next thing with that I guess will be to try and get the VIN decoded so I know what list to go off of for Fuse ID. Oh and I found the Valet button I have seen mentioned a time or two on here. No idea what it does yet but I guess I'm getting there slowly.

I bought what I intend to be my daughters first car (and I always wanted to own one **Maybe not an S Type but always liked Jag's) and picked up a 2000 S Type on the cheap that had been well not always used as good as it possibly should have. I grabbed it up for a grand since it had some MAJOR overheating issues and has a fair amount of little things all combined to make it a project in the end for an even grand. One of the first hurdles which I was not afraid of since I have dealt with it building Harley's and Muscle Cars etc. was the title was like 3 owners ago. The car had been put up for a title loan and repossessed. So since no one else had titled it or registered it and I wasn't interested in chasing it backwards and looking all over for people I went straight back to the Company that had repoed it had them do a title application direct to me. Now with title in hand I am just kind of getting at the task. The initial overheating issue I made a bit better during its drive home by adding almost 3 gallons of antifreeze. Changing 4 fuses that were blown and driving with the 3 windows that will go down down and the heater on full tilt lol. Texas in the Summer with the heat on......... think about that for a min. But other than washing it charging the battery 3 or 4 times since it kept going dead and a cpl other things I didn't really want to mess with it to much till I had title in hand.

SO one of the things I had an issue with (and still do) is that I only got one key with the car and no FOB well it seems that somewhere on the car is a security system that I can't turn off on or anything. It whenever it feels like it decides to go off when you open the door so I always have the key in hand when I go near it. But a bigger concern was the Ghettofabulized wiring hanging down from under the dash and a touchscreen stereo that did whatever it wanted. Which mainly was switch itself from mode to mode and scan constantly no amount of touching buttons or cleaning the screen etc seemed to stop it so today I went at the car since its finally cooled down and with title in hand I need to get it inspectable so I can get it registered and then really get into the mechanical gremlins that I discover. So here I have been taking out wiring all AM. From the amount of electrical tape bare wires and wires leading to no where. I believe a TRUE professional installed this system........ I was worried since they day I bought it about some wired that were hanging down and I'm not the best at wiring so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had used a connector that led to the OBDI port. Nothing else seemed to be hooked up right but at least they didn't cut and splice into the factory harness. So far the only place I have found that they have is directly at the stereo itself and even then they used a pinch connector with blade connectors. But the amount of just "JUNK" I don't know what else to call any of it just blew my mind. I still need to take out the rest of the wires that lead back to the CD changer (yes it really has a CD changer in the trunk......) but I'm getting a lot of cleaning done and finding some SERIOUS beer change lol but the whole center console is toast and coming out in chunks. The seat covers from some high class establishment like Target or somewhere didn't fit well at all and it was really hard to keep them from sliding all around. So after cutting them off I found yet another wondrous surprise black mold no doubt from the passenger side window that has a broken regulator and doesn't stay up. But now with that entire center console effectively written off I no longer have to worry about what each piece is any longer lol.

SO my growing list of must do's include
-replacing the stereo (what a complicated wiring setup... Why is there an ethernet connector behind the stereo???)
- Finding a side flasher (the one in the passenger fender which I BELIEVE is the source of the right side repeater fault code)
- Drivers side fog lamp
- Entire center console like the WHOLE WHOLE thing)
- Passenger side door(s) window motor lift actuator and the passenger front door lock doesn't seem to come locked/unlocked the whole way.
- Windshield wiper washer, the trunk and fuel door popper, the Sport mode button and the traction control button I believe it is don't react when pressed. and of course the lack of control over the security system and lack of the FOB etc.
- Bodywork
- Some engine work I have never had a Jaguar and don't even know anyone who has but I am confident that the chugging sound and engine light aren't good things lol. Plus the sweet sweet smell of a failing O2 sensor. ABS light to sort out and a ton of trim pieces.

But working from photos kinda sucks because I'm not really sure what right looks like lol. Prime example there is a large green connector hanging down under the dash homeless. So if anyone knows anyone in the Central Texas area who has parts, expertise advice etc etc etc I'm here and looking. Once I get the rest of the broken crap out I'll take a picture or two I hate the way it looks at the moment.
Paragraphs please...

Be sarcastic if it makes you feel better. But the fact is that one giant run-on paragraph is damn difficult to read, and the really knowledgable, long-time S-Type owners on this forum (e.g. Abonano) will see your post, find it too difficult to read, and move on without offering the help you seem to desperately need.

And for the record, it has nothing to do with education.

^^ What he said....

Many of us are glad to offer assistance when we can. But it's up to you to make it legible and easy to read. The more clear your post, the more assistance you will receive. Makes perfect sense if you take the time to think about it....

Fine move on. Why are you still here???? Run to your snobbish little corners. I insist. But don't come at me sideways and think I'll bitch up. Call you little moderators and have some cheese with your whine. I'll get the job done and without the need for cockish feel too damn good about yourself annoyances. Welcome the real. I come with a warning label and unfiltered like a pack of Camel studs like it or leave it the hell alone.

"Luck is weak minded mans way of explaining the unexplainable. It happens when a man does something he never thought he could do and lacks the knowledge and the confidence to understand they have excelled. Failure to realize that leaves lessons lost, lives lost, and battles lost. Pray not for luck, Pray not for help from the unseen the unproven and the untested. Instead pray for your enemies families and the losses they will suffer from the skills of your hands, the power of your mindset and the continued beating of your heart."

See I know some stuff's too... I'm REAL good at getting the job done it's what I was trained to do and regardless if I have to go over, under, around or through the objective. Rest assured I will be standing on top of the hill holding the flag when the smoke clears and the silence comes.

Oh and best of all I'm Texan the gun toting Anti liberal, scary socialist hating kind everyone else thinks are demons. But HEY that's why we're our own Country.

Man this really was fun... wait no it wasn't. But you keyboard quarterbacks enjoy. I'm going to throw my leg over one of my Ironheads Chops ( that is a motorcycle... a Harley Davidson that looks like it shouldn't run but does. Oh yeah I built that too) and go look at a parts car I just heard about.

So, did you want some help with the car or do you just want to rant and ramble on endlessly? We have an off topic section for that.

No please run me off. And technically I'm a sociopath with violent outbursts and combat withdrawals. I just bought a radio front and rear seats driving light side signal two door panels and all the little trim bits from inside the doors for 75$. Thanks for your help..... Oh wait none of you did that's right.

In re-reading your posts, I don't really see a specific question.

That might explain it.

And you can drop your ban hammer but trust me not one of you has the ability to run me off. They haven't built a man yet big enough or bad enough to do that. You spend 3 years of your life in combat and it changes your whole perspective of what fear and concern look and feel like. Just a fact. So drop your damn hammer delete the whole damn thing but quite whining like bitches. Like I said if you don't have anything good to say bugger off. Hell if I can figure out the settings I'll delete the damn thing myself. You self righteous big feeling pukes are just pissing me off anyhow.

Mods, you may want to forward this thread to the authorities in Texas. Next time there's a mass shooting of innocent people there, this may just be their guy....

Besides I have a car to build. I was looking for some insight on where to find used parts. Not how to change parts. Any idiot can change parts. I build things just needed the materials and well I found them no thanks to any of you. Because you see you have your little belly laugh Jack no doubt it hangs lower than your **** anyhow.
