Fog Lights Question

I found that my S-Typewas prewired for fogs. I bought a set of lamps and stock switch. Now that I have it installed I am seeing a bit of a problem. When I start the car I can switch on the fogs. But if I switch to high beams and back to lows the fogs are not on. At this point I cannot turn them on without cycling the headlight switch from on to off and back on.
Anyone have anm idea?
thanks in advance.

lol i know this problem....not on my car but on loaner s types 3.0s ive had (06 and up), im guessing its a post 05 update thing....are your headlights on auto when this happends?
if so try it when the headlights are manually on....does it work now?
for me this always was the fix and its happend on all of them, its either a design flaw or meant for them thinkin people are only using fogs when there is literally fog and no high beams are used not quite sure tho... hope this helps you!!!

As a matter of fact yes. I have been out of town but got to try it this morning on the way to work. Turns out that previous observations here are exactly right. Put the lights in normal on mode and you can switch the fogs on and go from hi beam to lows as many times as you like. Put it in auto or off timer and you have to turn the lights completely off to switch the fogs back on after switching to hi beams.
I guess it just a quark in the cars.
