Default Fresh Detail on my R pics

After a claybar and light buffing, it looks fabulous. Took out most of the surface scratches and really made the paint shine!

Nice lookin good. Did the Mina grill come with the smaller side bottom piece in where the oil coolers are? I thought it was only the center. If so I'm considering now.

Nice. She looks brand new. What is "Calaybar"? The front bumber is being repainted and then off to a deatail. Wouldn't mind a "Claybar" while their at it.

Man that looks good. Not sure how you keep up with 3 black vehicles. They sure do look good when clean.

Is that a chrome ashtray between the cupholders and the shifter? If so, where can they be bought?

Vance.....
you are so right.. i was reading on their website, and i always a assume that it was for the lower center grill only, that is why i wouldnt think too much of it.
but if the price is for all 3 pcs... its more reasonable...

That price is for all 3. It was $175 on ebay, and it really looks fantastic. It makes the car now, i noticed that people are staring at it. One guy came up to me the other day and said he liked my Bentley, even though its an older model. I had to laugh..

If I am understanding what you are saying thats the EPB (Emergency parking brake or electronic parking brake) lever. The ashtray would of been where the sat radio is.

Thanks for the info 08Z06. Now something else I'll be looking into in the future.

I actually think the S-Type looks a lot like a Bentley.

Yes, 08Z06 confirmed it in a PM.

The search for a suitable ashtray continues

If you are trying to find an ashtray if you dont have a stock one. Maybe try a Ford dealership cause a Mercury I had had an ashtray that fit in the cupholder. It was how the ashtray was on it. That way it is removable for when you arent smoking. Not sure if the cupholders are the same size but it would be worth a try if you dont have one. I'm sure if you ask for one of there ashtray cupholders they would know what you are talking about. I dont smoke but I put it back in the car when I got rid of it otherwise I would of been able to check and seen if it fit for you.
Actually found a pic of a Honda one that looks like it would fit. Its only 17 at hondapartssuperstore if you think that would work for you.

Your STR looks great! I hope your weather is such that it stays clean for a few days. Here, I'll detail it today and it will be a mess by tomorrow. Stupid Spring.

I use a Mothers Claybar once a year on all the cars. Works very nicely. It's crazy, you don't realize how much junk is embedded in the paint until you claybar a section and feel the difference.

I really wanted a black s-type r, but my red one was a good deal. I don't think anything can look better than a well kept black car. Makes me wanna go work on mine now.
