Only if you want to upgrade to the 16mm version. I think both 14mm and 16mm ball joints are out there? Not completely sure.

Doing the ball joints in my 2000 went easy. I believe the outer press fit points are the same for the 14 mm and 16 mm its just the size of the ball and sockets that are different. It is a cheaper fix for the manufacturer

THAT OTC DOESNT FIT CORRECTLY AND IS NOT LONG ENOUGH AND YOU RUN THE RISK IS PINNING THE BALL INTO THE SOCKET AND DAMAGING. I HAVE THAT TOOL AND IVE FOUND IT MUCH EASIER TO USE A STANDING PRESS. I USE A OFFSET OTC PRESS AT WORK TO PRESS BJ'S IN AS A REGULAR PRESS DOESNT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM. I SELL VERTICLE LINKS CLEANED WITH NEW BJ'S PRESSED ALREADY FOR $250FOR THE PAIR SHIPPED IN US TO MEMBERS HERE AND WILL REFUND YOU $50 IF YOU SEND CORES BACK.
ALSO HERES A GUY I KNOW THAT SELLS THE LOW SHOCK BUSHINGS YOURE LOOKING FOR. HIS NAME IS ED.

Brutal, I'm interested in a pair of front uprights for my 2000 S type 4L. I have purchased a pair of lower ball joints from Welsh, but have not figured out how to press them out/in! Any chance of using my new ball joints? Would this reduce the cost? Thanks. Jim Nelson bmcwest7@gmail.com

Now that that's done I need to change the lower strutt bushings. I am lead to believe that they can be pressed out and then in. I can't find a part number for the bushings or even a source. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I just bought the snap on BJP1 Ball Joint press. It looks impressive. Hopefully it will be a snap to use. Cost me $150 used.
