Ok folks. The cause of the front passenger clunk and bobbling wheel was the lower wishbone (runs from lower control arm to front member). Unfortunately replacement bushings aren't available for this part. Conventry West (Atlanta, GA.) promptly shipped a wishbone ($275) from a low mileage (50K) salvaged "S". Took the mechanic 30 minutes to make the swap ($35). Not only is she quiet over rutted surfaces, she tracks properly too. Side note: The mechanic advized me that Jaguar Heaven (CA.) would sell it to me for $200, but when I called they wanted $475 for the same part and said if I went "new" Jaguar sells it for $1100. Of course I knew he was full of s%$t (Jag wants $600). The mechanic called Jaguar Heaven and they said $475 was for both wishbone and lower control arm (again, full of s*&t). Call around folks. I found Coventry West knew more "Jag" and gave for less $$.

This is a very common problem with the 03 and up S types
Had all mine changed recently front and back. Cracked or leaking boots on the bushings. Sway bars also.Probably would have only done the ones that needed it most but because of the warranty a $3500.00 bill turned to a $100.00 with alignment also.
