Default Fuel Gauge Quit

I removed my Rear Electronic Control Module to put another used one so the brake lights would work and they did, but between tinkering with that and checking all the fuses and relays in the luggage fuse box, the fuel gauge quit!!!

Needless to say I checked all fuses and relays in the trunk; #3 relay is the only one that DOES NOT make any relay clicking sound. And now my dash says " fuel computer error".

Help ?

Put the old RECM back in to see if the fuel error goes away.

Yes, it could solve the fuel computer error but the fuel guage already had stopped working before I took it to a Jaguar specialist who changed out the RECM with a used one...........I should have asked him for the old unit back........darn

Moving forward: which fuses directly affect the fuel gauge? All I see is instrument clusters fuses?

SOLUTION FOUND: A little further back from a connector that went into the RECM (rear elec control module) a wire apparently got caught between the frame of this elec unit and a trunk sheet metal edge which sheared it.......I soldered it back up and the fuel gauge works !!!

Now off to chase fine looking women :-).........
.....................the end
