Default fuel pump removal

I have a '01 s type v6 with AT. Because of starting problem, it's been sitting a while, I found the fuel problem -no gas in cylinder head, fully charged battery, no burnt fuses, inertia valve is depressed, starts with starting fluid...etc. and decided to replace fuel pump.
Finally I got a new pump, removed fuel line, electric connector and plastic cap but the fuel pump bucket won't come out. It almost feels like got stuck at the bottom of tank......Is there any trick to remove the pump out of tank? Thank you.

Hmmm, may need to twist (rotate) it. Make sure not to damage the level sender.
